The Austalian Pink Floyd, el único tributo autorizado por la agrupación inglesa Pink Floyd, estará presentándose en vivo en Colombia el próximo 21 de Septiembre.
The Australian Pink Floyd se formó en Adelaida, Australia en 1988. Inicialmente la idea era hacer covers de Floyd en bares y clubes australianos, pero fue en 1994 cuando David Gilmour al verlos, se emocionó tanto por su perfección, técnica y entrega que los invitó a tocar en su cumpleaños y desde ahí el proyecto de covers pasó a ser la réplica exacta y autorizada de los genios del rock psicodélico y progresivo.
La banda reproduce canciones que van desde la época de Syd Barrett y los primeros años experimentales de los 70s, hasta el conocido "The Division Bell", destacando la interpretación de clásicos Sorrow, Dogs of the War, Shine on you Crazy Diamond, Welcome to the Machine y Wish You Were Here.
El ex-ingeniero de sonido Colin Norfield en la consola, más técnicos originales de Pink Floyd, hacen posible que esta escuela generada por Barrett, Waters, Klose y compañía, perdure toda la vida y que según palabras de David Gilmour: sea inspiración para futuras generaciones.
Este tributo ha participado en los festivales musicales más importantes de Europa y Norteamérica, sumando más de 200 shows en toda su trayectoria artística.
